The other day I was at Pier 1 and picked up the coolest thing, a Free lil' box that turns into a change/cash holder trick or treat box. I thought it was a great idea, especially if you don't want your kids to get LOADED w/ candy trick or treating and a great way to teach them about service. Instead of trick or treating for CANDY, you treat or treat for change for UNICEF, then you take your donations to a participating coinstar center and send in your reciept to UNICEF.

6 cents: provides water for 1 thirsy kid
$45 provides school supplies to 20 kids
$112 provides emergency blankets to 37 kids
$200 immuizes 104 kids against measles
anyways- I thought it was cool and wanted to share in case any of you wanted to stop by Pier 1 and also get a free box to trick or treat with for a cause. It's very very cool!

You would! No, but really, that's awesome! I think that is a wonderful idea and such a good lesson for the little ones...me too!
