This is a commen phrase you might hear me say when we are deciding which new board game to buy or play. Well it turns out (in my old age) I am expanding on my likes. It all began when our great friends the Gordons gave us "The Farming Game" as a gift and well needless to say I just KNEW I'd HATE IT....well I didn't, I actually Loved it and spent many nights playing late w/ anyone that would play it w/ me. Next, our other Gordon friends introduced us to "ROBO RALLY" Also a game by looking at I knew I wouldn't like...and agian, I loved it. (it's the most expensive game we've ever purchased, but it's worth it) and last but not least......this summer our friends the Aponte's wanted to play "Settlers of Catan" and I'd heard lots about this game but didn't think it'd be for me. Well , last week we played every night for about 4 nights in a row and stayed up way late fighting over longest roads, biggest army and who could collect Clay or Sheep more. :) Here's a pic of us playing w/ the Goljahmofrad's.
We had built so much no one could build any more and Ali had about 15 Development Cards- that's amazing. He won. Lame!

Hey... Amanda told me about this game, and I have to admit it sounded a bit lame!! She swears you guys had a lot of fun with it; so I think I'll have to give it a chance!! Maybe we'll see ya once your back in Utah!
O I love this game!!!!!!! It actually comes from Germany, and we spent years and years with it. And we bought the game extansions as well (Seafarers and Knights). It is soooo much fun and my best buddy to play is my brother :o)
But he game I love even more is SCRABBLE! Do you remember that we played back in 95/96? So cool!
